Since this site is all about Real Home Based Businesses, you can bet that we've been through that ringer ourselves. I looked for a really long time in all the wrong places before I found something that REALLY works.

If you spend some time kicking around my site you'll see that I'm all about avoiding the traps and pitfalls and outright scams that are out there billed as "home based businesses". Most of the ones I've tried wouldn't provide even a poverty wage even if you worked your fingers to the bone. They are usually designed to separate you from some of what money you've got and then leave you swinging in the wind. Hard to imagine how you could call those "Real Home Based Businesses".

Beyond just how much money it makes, to me in order to be a Real Home Based Business, it's got to have some other advantages over your typical 9 to 5 job. If you do find an opportunity that works, most of the time it will be one that winds you up in a lifestyle that would make you long for the good old days when you were 9-to-5ing it. Let's face it, most small business owners wind up working twelve hour days and rarely take a day off. That just doesn't cut it for me.

I've read tons of books and ebooks on small business success. A lot of it was hype, the old "he who can't do it winds up teaching it" nonsense. If you read enough of it though, you start to see some patterns develop through all the noise. The thing I found most universal about people who actually succeeded in small business (and many of whom became big business) is that it's not about finding somebody who is selling "the right opportunity", it's about having the right "master plan" (a "business model", in the lingo of this field). There are all kinds of Real Home Based Businesses out there, but they all grow out of a successful master plan.

Your master plan has to include smart ways to get the attention of your potential customers, it has to include smart ways of getting through the layers of "reluctance" that people build up to spending their hard earned cash, and it has to include smart ways of turning the resulting "increased willingness to spend" into a mutually beneficial exchange of cash for a valuable product. That much will get you "in the money", but beyond that your plan has to be smart about some other things.

It has to be smart about how you get your toe in the door without selling your house. It has to be smart about how you build the business so you're not slaving away into the wee hours of the morning for years trying to build your business. It has to be smart about how your involvement in the business evolves over time so that you can actually enjoy all of that hard earned money.

Maybe you thought that your search for a Real Home Based Businesses amounted to just looking for something that "works". I'm here to tell you that all of what I layed out above has to be there in order for it to really "work" for you.

The good news, is that after looking for all of that for most of my life I've finally found my way, and I want to show it to you. The problem is that while you might expect something this big to stick out like an elephant standing in your neighbor's driveway. Unfortunately, it's easy to miss. Even after years of looking and years of "educating my perception", I managed to look right past it the first time I saw it. The second time I saw it was when somebody who is successful practically stuck my nose in it.

That time I looked it over and thought "maybe". A while later I went looking for it again and studied it very carefully before I took the leap. Turns out, this was finally the method I was looking for...and it's the one you're looking for too. My job is to educate you sufficiently about the world and how this fits into it that you can "spot the elephant in the driveway".
